As for a theme... I'm not sure. But I am considering naming one of them Olympia! I thought it was kind of cute, because that's the capital of Washington state and all...
text HAHA WOW WRONG FUCKING ACCOUNT JESUS CHRIST i am so sorry
what's up asshole
heard you're awake
welcome back to the land of the living
look i know you don't remember me and that's cool and everything like i don't give a shit? it's whatever. [ haha, he absolutely does give a shit! ] but i have something very important to tell you
text lmao don't even worry about it, we've all been there
Uhm, thanks...?
I don't remember you? Does that mean we're from the same universe? [ Uh, duh Wash. ] And we meet at some point?
[ This is weird. He knows Texas
Alliso--, and as far as he knew, she's the only other one here from the same place. But maybe not? It shouldn't come as a huge surprise that there might be people from further along the timeline, but that paired with the fact that they apparently are supposed to know each other throws Wash through a bit of a loop.It takes him a few seconds to focus on the last bit of the message. ]
Wait, sorry, something to tell me? What is it?
no subject
he's going to 100% ignore every question wash asks him. no distractions or getting off track! ]
well first of all
wait are you ready for this? you got to be ready
no subject
Anyway. There's some mild frustration when his entire reply is basically ignored, but his curiosity kills some of that. He wants to know this important thing that he apparently needs to know! ]
...I think so? I don't know what we're talking about. How should I be preparing?
1/3
okay okay alright well first of all
fuck you.
second of all
actually nope that was it, that's all i got. fuck you, wash. fuck you forever. just when you think you're done fucking yourself, fuck you some more. fuck you fuck you fuck you.

i don't know what your problem is or why you can't remember shit or what this ship did to you but after everything i did for you who THE FUCK do you think you are
you can't just sweep into people's lives and tell them they're not people that they're THINGS that they're not real and then forget all of that even happened, like it doesn't matter? not all of us get to forget. some of us have to remember.
you motherfucker
i saved your life

anyway that was it
have a good night buddy

He's never even met this guy (yet), and he's getting yelled at and told to go fuck himself over something that's entirely not his fault??? He knows for a fact he'd remember if someone saved his life--he remembers every single time one of the other Freelancers has--it's not his fault if he's not from the same time as this guy! --He has to assume that's the problem here, because it's the only explanation here.
...Other than maybe that this guy has the wrong Wash. But it's a pretty uncommon name...
It takes a fair amount of time, but Wash eventually composes himself enough to be able to start a reply, though from the way that tirade ended, he gets the idea he won't get a response. But damn, he wants to try to clear things up. Or get some better context. Or both. ]
Wait wait wait.
Look, I'm sorry? I'm sorry I don't know you or understand anything you're talking about here, but I feel like you might be overreacting a little? I mean, I get where you're coming from. ...I think. Sort of. But it's definitely not my fault that I don't "remember" any of this.
I don't know how much you know about the Ingress, but it can bring people in from the same universe, but different points in time. And I'm kind of getting the feeling that's what's happened here? I'd remember if you saved my life, I know that much. I think you're from further along in the timeline than I am--I know that Texas is. ...Assuming you know her, too.
Anyway. I'm honestly sorry that I'm not aware of who you are or any of the other stuff you're angry about. [ Even if it's absolutely not his fault in any way. ] If you want, we can get together and talk about it? But uh. I'm kind of getting the idea that you'd rather I just go fuck myself, so.
Sorry. Hopefully you don't hate me too much.
[ Now he's just going to go and spend the rest of the day trying to shake the utter amount of confusion this whole conversation has dumped on him. ]
text; morning of 6/20
[ She's not on speaking terms with you right now Wash, but this is a different matter. ]
text;
[ He doesn't even finish that question and accidentally hits send before he can continue. Not even bothering to be a dick right now because her question has him concerned. ...Even if he's still pissed at Caboose. ]
I just saw him in the hallways a few days ago.
text;
He's not on the manifest anymore.
text;
He's not?
[ Just gonna do a quick fact check. ]
...He's not. The Ingress must've sent him back already.
[ He should be relieved about that, right? So why is he not? ]
text;
[ Do you hear her concern at the idea of Caboose wandering around an unfamiliar galaxy on his own? ]

DELIVERY
3 days after the beach party; action
When, later that evening and back in the body the natives have supplied for her, she spots Wash on the beach, she hardly thinks before she jogs to catch up with him. She's short in this body and it takes a bit more effort in running than she's used to, but she approaches him at an angle and comes up beside him.
She smiles with anticipation, which sort of resembles a mischievous smirk. ]
There you are. Been working hard?
no subject
If I was of any use in repairing a ship, I would be.
[ So, no, not really been working hard. Wash's fingers twitch a bit, restless, but the look he offers her in exchange for her smirk isn't unfriendly. ]
I assume you have been, though. I haven't seen you around much.
[ --Not that he's been looking, or anything. ]
no subject
[ She tilts her head at him. ]
Busy enough I think I've earned myself a break.
no subject
[ An eyebrow raises, not without interest. It's not like Tex has ever come to him on a break before, and after their 'agreement' of sorts the other night, how can he not be interested? ]
And how were you planning to enjoy this break?
no subject
[ It's no secret among them that rooms set aside for the Moirans' use during the party are still there, empty and waiting, at the edge of the courtyard. It's midday now, not late like it had been the night of the party, but Wash probably won't mind absconding for a while. According to what he's said so far, he hasn't really been working anyway. ]

TUCKED UNDER HIS PILLOW (backdated to 10/1)
Clumsily arranged there, he'll find: a shirt, three mini-bottles of cucumber hand lotion, and a half eaten baloney sandwich.
On top is a note:]
you're skin and bones, kid. and as long as you're holding onto the skin, might as well treat it right.
seeya round, white meat.
